When superstars came down to streets....

The streets of Thiruvanathapuram on 24.1.07 witnessed a rare event,when the stars of the Malayalam, moved down to the streets to protest against CD piracy. The actors Mammooty, Mohanlal ,Jayaram and Suresh Gopi, Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalabhavan Mani, Indrans and many others participated in the march.

They also Conducted a dharna in front of the secrateariate and announced support to the state governments move to curb CD piracy.

Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Pannyan Raveendran M.P. addressed the gathering. There was uncontrollable crowd to see the stars and so the roads were blocked for many hours.
The police had a difficult time escorting the superstars to safety.
All the theaters were closed on the day and a cinema harthal was observed.
