Water level in Mullapperiyar rises ,Fear rises in the minds of Kerala people
Mullapperiyar dam is a constant cause of fear to keralites. This century old dam is not safe, according to government of Kerala. The capacity of the dam is only 136 feet. Now the water has risen upto this level and people around it are afraid of a calamity.
As rain continues in the catchments area, the district administration is prepared for any eventuality. Preliminary preparation in the event of an evacuation is going on. Certain schools are identified for relief operations and control rooms opened in the area.
All government offices concerned are on full alert.
We, The people of Kerala are looking for a permanent solution for this issue. The help given to Tamil Nadu in the form of a dam should not be harmful to the life of people in Kerala. Tamil Nadu Government should try to find an alternative proposal, which will be acceptable to all.

Mullapperiyar level rising!!
It is reported that mullapperiyar water level is still rising and leaks appears in different parts of the dam.It is high time that something must be done to prevent this. Othervise loss of lives and property is imminent.
The authorities are saying that they will open cheruthoni dam.But will this be sufficent?Are the people of kerala not bothered about this?No protests, No harhal...
