VIVEK V P TOPS THE REGIONAL MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD 2007

Vivek V.P (Rani Jai HSS, Nirmalagiri, Kannur) has topped the Regional
Mathematical Olympiad organized by the National Board for Higher
Mathematics, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, held at 12
centres in Kerala on October 7, 2007. Vishnu P Ramesh (Nirmalamatha
Central School, Trichur), Akash A.J (Veda Vyasa Vidyalayam, Calicut),
Rajil Ramesh and Mithun Mohan M (KV,Pattom, Trivandrum) are the other
toppers. These students will be awarded Prof C S Venkataraman memorial
prizes and cash prizes sponsored by Kerala State Council for Science,
Technology and Environment. Jithin Vinod (Devamatha CMI Public School,
Trichur), Mishel Johns (Loyola School, Trivandrum), Dileep, C .R. ( J N V,
Ernakulam), Suraj, P K ( BVM, Trichur), Varghese Antony (Infant Jesus
Public School, North Paravur), Geethu Theres, K( Matha S S S, Thumboli)
and Richu Varghese John ( St. Thomas College HSS, Trichur) have also been
selected for participation in the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad
to be held at Cochin University Campus in January 2008.
