Baba Kalyani: A movie Salvaged Only by Mohanlal's Presense

A movie is a combined effort. It's success depends on many factors,like the screenplay,the actors, the songs, camera and So on.Also I was Thinking that Malayalam movies has advanced much from the eighties, but this movie puts it right back there.

Mohanlal acts as an IPS officer in Baba Kalyani.The story revolves around him, trying catch a terrorist group.He is a high tech officer who always carries a blootooth device in the ear. Also there is a sidetrack of his lost love with the heroine. He performs superbly,But all the other characters in the movie are dimmed into the background by the script writer.

The Superhero Mohanlal's dialouges sometimes crosses the limits, for example when he appears near the Woman's commission. Such Mockery of constitutional bodies will give wrong message to the public.

THe director and script writer has forgotten to utilize the talented actors like Jagathy Sreekumar, Murali, Siddique and Kavioor Ponnamma.Everybody seems to be placed there to give charm to mohanlal.

The songs by Vayalar Sarachandra Varma are good. Camera is also above average.

With a little care the movie would have been much better and touching.
