C Radhakrishnan: The great novelist: By Kannan Balakrishnan

C Radhakrishnan is one of the most celebrated writers of Kerala. Recently He was awarded Odakkuzhal puraskaram. Let us glimpse through his personal as well as literary life.

He was born in Born 1939 February in an aristocratic nair family.He took a post gradate degree in physics from Victoria college Plakkad.
He had a very long service in various institutions including central observatories, news papers, weeklys and encyclopedias. Many of his novels reflect the atmosphere where he has worked. He has written 40 novels and many other books.
Some of his famous novels are “spandhamapinikale nandi”, Munpe parakkuna pakshikal and Theekadal Kadanhu Thirumadhuram .
“spandhamapinikale nandi is held in the background of a cosmological laboratory The story is full of suspense and the climax is also beautiful. Munpe parakkuna pakshikal is a novel about a pesrson who belong to a revolutionary group.
Theekadal Kadanhu Thirumadhuram portraits the life of Thunchathu Ezuthachan who is known as the father of malayalm literature. All the emotional wars he faced are narrated with great skill. This is even called an epic in Malayalam literature.
C Radhakrishnan has bagged many prestigious awards including the National Sahitya Akademi of India ,the Sahitya Akademi of Kerala ,Vayalar award,Mooloor award and Mahakavi G. Award to mention a few. Recently He got Odakuzhal Award 2007, for Theekadal Kadanhu Thirumadhuram.
