CUSAT Parents To Know Ward's Progress From The Web

In a significant step, the prestigious Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has made available all the details of students in it's B.Tech programme on the web. This enables parents (often in distant places) to gather their son/daughters information sitting at home.

School of engineering is the department of CUSAT which conducts B.Tech programs for conventional engineering branches. Here the PTA is very active. Recently they have developed a web site which helps the parents to view their ward’s academic progress through this site. Information such as their up-to-date internal/external marks, personal information with photograph, Attendance percentage, mailing with teachers, teacher profile etc are some of the features of this site. The site has been designed by Mr. Sudheep Elayidom a computer engineering lecturer, with a team of 13 students.

CUSAT is the first university in Kerala, giving such a great facility to parents. The site was inagurated at a function on 15.2.07 by ,Dr. N.D. Inasu,Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUSAT.

The site is available at PTA services in the CUSAT web site.
